Cakes and cupcakes are not able to tolerate heat – sunlight and high temperatures will start to melt the buttercream and ganache, compromising the structural integrity of the cake. Equally, displaying your cake under a spotlight or near an oven, fireplace, sunny window or any other heat source will have the same results. If you choose to display your cake outside or near a heat source then please be aware that you are doing so at your own risk.
The “cake manual” you will receive with your cake includes detailed instructions on how to cut and serve your cake. All tiered cakes are doweled and staked. This is an absolute necessity for structure and stability in any multi-tiered cake
